Annual Parish Meeting

Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held at Croft Village Hall on Tuesday 7th May at 6:30pm.

These are notes of the meeting until approved at the next Annual Parish Meeting as a true and accurate record. 

1.    Chairman’s Welcome

The Chair welcomed all Councillors present, and there were no members of the public in attendance. The Chair issued a brief report on the Parish Council’s activity throughout the year, and hoped to continue to be a positive force in the community for the year ahead. 

2.    To confirm the minutes of previous Annual Parish Meeting.

With no matters arising, it was resolved unanimously to accept the minutes as a true and accurate record of the meeting.

3.    To receive an unaudited statement of income and expenditure for the financial year 2023-24.

The Clerk provided an unaudited statement of income and expenditure for the financial year 2023-24, prior to submitting the Annual Return to the external auditor. No questions were raised. 

4.    To receive reports from:

a.    The Chair of the Council

b.    Croft’s East Lindsey District Councillor

Croft’s East Lindsey District Councillor was absent from the meeting through ill health and was unable to submit a report. The Chair wished the District Councillor a speedy recovery. 

c.    Croft’s Lincolnshire County Councillor

Croft’s Lincolnshire County Councillor was absent from the meeting and did not submit a written report.

d.    Lincolnshire Police

Lincolnshire Police did not attend. They provided a link to the new quarterly newsletter - https://www.lincs.police.uk/police-forces/lincolnshire-police/areas/about-us/about-us/neighbourhood-newsletters/.

e.    The Parochial Church Council

A representative from the Parochial Church Council did not attend or submit a written report. 

5.    Public Forum: To receive questions or comments from members of the public - those who reside or work within the council’s boundary.

There were no members of the public in attendance. 

6.    To confirm the date of the next Annual Parish Meeting.

The next Annual Parish Meeting will be held between 1st March and 1st June 2025.

The Chair of the Council closed the meeting at 6:35pm.
