Croft 

Annual Parish Meeting

 

Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held at Croft Village Hall on Tuesday 7th May at 6:30pm. These are notes of the meeting until approved at the next Annual Parish Meeting as a true and accurate record. 

 

In the absence of Cllr Coxall - Chair of the Council, Vice-Chair - Cllr C Drury chaired the meeting. There were 4 in attendance and the Parish Clerk - J Sargent.

 

1. Chair of the Council’s Welcome

Cllr Coxall submitted apologies through ill health. Vice-Chair Cllr Drury chaired the meeting and welcomed attendees. 

 

2. To confirm the minutes of previous Annual Parish Meeting.

It was resolved unanimously to approve the minutes as a true and accurate record of the meeting. 

 

3. To receive an unaudited statement of income and expenditure for the financial year 2024-25.

The Clerk provided an unaudited statement of income and expenditure for the financial year 2024-25, prior to submitting the Annual Return to the external auditor. No questions were raised. 

 

4. To receive annual reports from:

a. The Chair of the Council

Cllr Coxall submitted apologies through ill health and provided a written report via email which included reporting the need to increase the no. of bookings in the Village Hall, that no events have been organised by the Parish Council due to poor attendance at the previous 2 events, the Council now has a full compliment and hopes to accomplish more this year. The Parish Council have ordered a speed sign and will be ordering a commemorative bench in memory of the late Sid Dennis who served Croft as a Parish and District Councillor and will be greatly missed. 

 

b. Croft’s East Lindsey District Councillor

No report provided.

 

c. Croft’s Lincolnshire County Councillor

No report provided by either the outgoing County Councillor - S Nutman or the new County Councillor - J Brookes. Apologies submitted by Cllr J Brookes who was attending an induction evening at the County Council offices. 

 

d. The Parochial Church Council

No report submitted.

 

5. Public Forum: To receive questions or comments from members of the public - those who reside or work within the Council’s boundary.

No members of the public in attendance. 

 

The Chair of the Council closed the meeting at 7:00pm.
