1 Apologies for absence

Cllr Dennis, Jane Richardson, these absences were formally approved, by vote, having considered and accepted the reasons for absence.

 

2 To sign as correct the minutes from the last meeting held on 2nd Deptember2019, it was unanimously agreed that the minutes should be signed

4 Matters to Report

a) Reply sent to a resident concerning the hedges around the playing field

b) The Clerk has been looking for quotes for the meshing in the car park, and a bench for the bus stop

c) Work has begun on the asset register

The Village Hall Keys have not been returned, it was agreed that the Clerk should contact the ex-caretaker to chase return

The Accounts had been sent to all Councillors before the meeting, there were no questions, The Chairman gave the Parish Councils thanks for the work carried out

 

9 Footpaths & Highways

a) Outstanding

Edges of verges require trimming – West Side of Low Road

b) To report Pothole at church Lane/service Road to the Council properties

 

10 Village Hall

a) Report – Cllr Mr. P Vokes

Cllr Vokes reported on the new Care taker

The RCD’s and sensor work are in hand

Future bookings, Gospel meeting, 70th Birthday Party, Auction of new goods. There is a possibility of Stretching sessions being arranged

b) Redecoration of the Village Hall – Quotes in hand

 

11) The Drope Proctor Charity – Cllr Moore

It was agreed that the funds should be distributed, between neighboring parishes however the accounts and agreements need to be checked over. The Parish Council will speak to the potential new Councillor when she joins

 

12) Speed Watch Report

Speed watch have visited the Village and have agreed 4 sites

The Co Ordinator has contacted all 6 volunteers to arrange the next step. 4 other people have been contacted to arrange training

It was also suggested that once the scheme is up and running a leaflet drop should be made, making people aware of the programme

Speeding on Church Lane - No Action at the moment

 

13) Recreation Ground – Update

Information is being collected by the Clerk, and the LCC funding Officer will attend the next meeting

 

14) Change of ownership of land with the PCC – Cllr Vokes

It was agreed that a formal approach to the PCC should be made,

The Clerk will bring the information required to the next meeting

 

15) Notice Board – The Clerk

It was agreed that a new notice board is required on Croft Lane which should be accessible to the residents and the Parish Council. The clerk will get quotes and speak to the Landowner concerning the replacement

 

16) Path to the A52 – Cllr Vokes

It was agreed that the Parish Council would like to install a footpath from the end of the Village to the A52, Cllr Bowser will contact the landowner and report at the next meeting.
