MINUTES OF THE CROFT PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 15th NOVEMBER 2021

Adam Clark from Belvedere Lakes gave a presentation on the planning application which is to be discussed

1 Apologies for absence

Cllr Blackburn, PCSO these absences were formally approved, by vote, having considered and accepted the reason for absence.

3 To sign as correct the minutes from the last meeting held on    

the 4th of October 2021.

It was proposed by Cllr Bowser, seconded by Cllr Mrs. Coxall, and unanimously agreed that these minutes should be signed

4 Matters to Report

a) After discussion with the Chairman the tree order has been cancelled.

The Parish Council has not prepared for the delivery and tree guards have not been purchased.

b) Cllr Mrs. Coxall has agreed to attend the meeting with Wainfleet All Saints Town Council to discuss the Queens Platinum Jubilee celebrations

c) No Comments were received concerning the request from the investigation of flooding at Fairfield, Low Road.

a) Report – Cllr Vokes

There are 3 new hirers, and there are now regular bookings for 6 hours a session including use of the kitchen with AHDB 

b) Quote for CCTV Extension

a quote of £3999.00 net had been received from our suppliers Telesat

It was unanimously agreed to accept the quote, the Clerk will advise accordingly.

c) WIFI for the village Hall,

It was agreed that this would be an advantage for renters, and very useful at the Parish Council Meetings, the cost would be £26.23 per month, to be paid through the precept, it was proposed by Cllr Vokes, seconded by Cllr Dennis, and unanimously agreed that the Clerk should arrange.

12 Play Park Update

The Playpark is now open

a) Monthly checks – increase in the Caretakers hours

It was unanimously agreed to increase the caretaker’s hours by 2 hours per month to cover the weekly checks. Any problems will then be reported to Cllr Vokes for further action. 

b) How to fund the playpark in the future

Annual checks, insurance, repairs

It was unanimously agreed that as the playpark is a Parish Council asset provision should be made in the budget for ongoing costs.

c) Signage

It was agreed that the Park notice board should be repaired and a large sign with Play Park restrictions would be placed on the park board, funded by the precept.

The Clerk is to arrange for the correct signage to be ordered for the enclosed area, these are to be black with white writing

d) Trees and Park benches

to be carried forward to the next meeting
